Abstract

This report aims to critically analyze the recruitment challenges faced by the Beaconhouse School System, Johar Town lower primary branch. It identifies the prevalent practice of constant external hiring as a substantial issue. This has resulted in a negative impact on the employee morale and motivation. The report utilizes Herzberg's Two-Factor Theory to explore the effects of external hiring on employee motivation levels. In response, it proposes effective solutions such as developing clear internal career pathways, succession planning, extending internal job postings, policy reviews, and conducting skill assessments. These solutions aim to enhance employee satisfaction and morale by addressing both motivational and hygiene factors. Out of the alternatives suggested, the report recommends setting clear internal career pathways to be the most impactful solution. It can be implemented by integrating it in performance management, tailoring training programs, communication, and ensuring regular updates. These implementation strategies would certify that the organizational and employee needs are adequately met. It also promises a more balanced, inclusive, and motivating work environment, significantly improving employee engagement and retention.
