The study assessed the efficiency of cognitive rehabilitation on attention memory as well as language skills in individuals with stroke. The main objective of this research was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive rehabilitation based on neuroplasticity theory in improving attention, memory and language functions in patients. The study involved a sample of individuals with stroke. A sample of 40 individuals with stroke were chosen from various government and private hospitals of Lahore. Quasi Experimental Research design was used to assign the participant into two conditions (20 experimental group and 20 control group). In this study Mini Mental Status Examination and Pakistan Neuropsychological Test Assessment Battery were used for baseline measurements of attention, memory, and language. In this study, only the experimental group received cognitive rehabilitation intervention, focusing on enhancing attention, memory, and language skills. Cognitive rehabilitation techniques were applied over 12 weeks with 3 sessions per week. Paired sample t test analysis was applied for pre and post assessment differences in attention, memory and language functions. The findings revealed that cognitive rehabilitation improved attention, memory, and language skills as assessed from the Mini Mental Status Examination and Pakistan Neuropsychological Test Assessment Battery. The implications of this study have been discussed with reference to culturally relevant evidence-based rehabilitation approaches, offering meaningful insight for family, caregiver, practitioners and clinicians.
