Item Student-Faculty Document Sharing System(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2022-11-20) Muhammad Taha; SP18-BCS-046; Fareeha IftikharThe global impact of Covid-19 is multifaceted and is clearly manifested in almost all sectors, particularly the health, economic, and education sectors. Since the announcement of the virus as a pandemic in January 2020, there has been a plethora of daily reports on its impact on the lives of millions across the world. Accordingly, every country’s primary concern has become to diminish the spread of the virus and alleviate its effects on society in general, and the most vulnerable communities[1]. According to UNESCO reports, more than 1.5 billion students in about 165 countries have been affected by the lockdown of schools and campuses. As a result, schools, colleges, and universities were forced to shift in some way or another to online learning as a replacement for on-site delivery. A solution to this problem is needed, although there are many platforms out there that are facilitating this cause in some way shape or form. Such as Google classroom, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Turnitin, etc. Each with its own advantages and limitations. that is economical and easy to use. Our final year project also an effort in this regard, a solution to this problem that is easy to use. It takes inspiration from these existing systems and tries to mimic their quality features while minimizing their limitations.Item Clean Pakistan(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Muhammad Ali Hassan; FA16-BSE 175; Fareeha Iftikhar; LHR TP 6266Waste management is one of the primary problems that the world faces irrespective of the case of a developed or developing country. The main problem in waste management is that the dustbins are overflowed everywhere, and municipal committee is unaware of this big issue. It, in turns, leads to various hazards such as bad odour & ugliness to that place which may be the root cause for the spread of various diseases. So, we are going to develop a smart garbage collection system (Clean Pakistan) in order to deal with such hazardous scenario and to secure public health. The main idea of the proposed work is to develop a smart intelligent garbage alert system for proper garbage management. This garbage collection system is developed for dustbin clearance by giving an alert notification to the municipal web server for instant cleaning of a dustbin. This alert notification is generated based on the level of garbage in the bin. An ultrasonic sensor which is interfaced with Arduino esp8266 is used to check the level of garbage in bin. The notification will be sent to the municipal web server through which it will be delivered to user by an android application along with garbage bin number and its location once if garbage is 80% filled. Once the alert is received, Municipal Corporation takes initiative to clean the garbage bin. After cleaning the garbage bin, the municipal web server gets updated about the garbage bin been cleaned. This system provides the information that whether the dustbins are cleaned up in proper time or not and how municipal committee cope with these issues.
