(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2022) Syed Muhammad Farhan; FA18-BAR-040; Dr. Shariyeh Hosseini Nasab; LHR TP 8615
This thesis explores the design of a multifunctional student center and business incubation center for COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus. The aim is to create a dynamic space that caters to the diverse needs of students and entrepreneurs, fostering student engagement, supporting academic success, promoting entrepreneurship, and encouraging collaboration and innovation. The proposed facility encompasses a range of programmatic elements, including an auditorium, lecture halls, seminar halls, multipurpose classrooms/studios, management areas, and service areas. These spaces are carefully designed to facilitate various activities and functions, such as academic lectures, seminars, workshops, student organizations, cultural events, and recreational gatherings. Moreover, the business incubation center within the facility provides a supportive environment for entrepreneurs, offering resources, mentorship, networking opportunities, and business support services. It serves as a catalyst for innovation, providing start-up businesses with the necessary tools and guidance to thrive.
