(Library Information Services, CUI Lahore, 2022) Zil-e-Fatima Khalid; SP18-BCS-175
In the early 1980’s as the computer industry expanded, many server rooms and data centers were facing problems of having several monitors, keyboards, and mouse, taking up valuable rack space, and adding unnecessary heat disbursement issues. This is also time consuming for them to use different systems for their work. They also created server management problems for larger data centres in which technicians had to physically walk to each server they needed to work on. To overcome these issues, the concept of KVM switches was first introduced for multi-system setups. Hence, our final year project proposes a better solution to these problem that is easy to use and will be user-friendly for people that are facing these issues during their work (i.e. Gamers, System administrators, Developers and Designers). Our app is basically used for mouse sharing, keyboard sharing, clipboard sharing (with no video sharing feature) including text and file sharing. We are going to build an application with keyboard and mouse sharing features that can save time for developers, gamers and designers by using one set of keyboard and mouse for the multiple systems setups with free of cost facility
