THE CHANGING ROLE OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT POST COVID-19
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2020) Hassan Zia; SP17-BBA-093; Imran-Ur-Rehman; LHR TP 6656
The covid-19 pandemic has resulted in large scale changes in the ways in which organizations operate. It has resulted in regulators imposing a variety of changes to the legal background that governs businesses in counties, in order to achieve the objectives of social distancing, disease containment, and the reduction of mortality rates. However, this implied that businesses would have to adapt themselves in order to become capable of weathering the situations which were created by this pandemic. This was not an easy task. While corporations touted the idea of working from home, and had a majority of their departments commence work according to this new paradigm, this was unfortunately not an easy transition to make. Project management is one of the most crucial elements of a corporation, as it directly ties into the way in which operations are managed at the company, and the rate at which it is able to meet its purported objectives and aims. This paper shall conduct an inquiry into the ways in which project management was impacted as a result of the onslaught of the current pandemic.
