    HUMAN RESOURCE CHALLENGES FACED BY THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY IN PAKISTAN

    The term Textile comes from a Latin word ‘texture’ means ‘to weave’. In exports, the textile industry of Pakistan has a crucial position. Textile products of Pakistan is known for the 8th largest exporter. It contributes to the total GDP is 8.5% and this industry has provided employment to about 15,000,000 people. Because of the cause that Pakistan has the availability of basic raw cotton and cheap labor, the growth of Cotton Textile Industry of Pakistan become possible. In Pakistan, the textile units that are installed across the country are 464 and has 124 large spinning units, 425 small units, 442 spinning units and 122, ginning units which are producing textile goods. Different sectors of textile industry are spinning, processing, finishing and some are the sub-sectors are the part of value chain of textile.
