    IMPACT OF ONLINE TEACHING ON STUDENT’S ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE DURING COVID-19 IN PAKISTAN

    Coronavirus covid-19 is the kind of disease that initially emerged from the different animal genus stated by the world health organization (WHO, 2020) and it is transmitted to the people or humans. The name by which this virus is known is called SARS-Cov-2 and the disease originated from it is called Covid-19 (Johns Hopkins, 2020). It is announced by the world health organization (WHO) that coronavirus is the health crisis at international level on January 30, 2020 and is also declared covid-19 as pandemic on march 11, 2020 (Cucinotta & Vanelli, 2020).After outbreak of coronavirus in Pakistan it is said by the authors (Saqlain, Munir, Ahmed, Tahir, & Kamran, 2020) that the very first two cases of covid-19 were found in Islamabad and Karachi on 26 February 2020 by health ministry. It is found by the covid-19 statistics that there were round about 165062 total number of cases and 3229 deaths in Pakistan on June 19,2020 (Covid-19 Stats, 2020).It is also stated that all the educational institutes were closed by Pakistan educational authorities on march 13,2020 due to covid-19 (Ali, 2020).Is also said that as per the order of federal government of Pakistan, all the institutes to convert their face to face learning to online learning via online teaching platforms to resume their education until the corona virus emergency remains uncontrolled. (Ali, 2020)
