Item Handling Presentation Using Kinect(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2021) Muhammad Ali; SP11-BCS-061; Mr Shahid Bhatti; LHR TP 6905The aim of this project is to develop an intuitive Natural User Interface (NUI) to control the Power Point slides presentation through gesture. Hand gesture provides an interactive natural communication between user and machine. The visual interpretation of hand gesture will provides the efficiency and quality. Recently researchers are also interested in exploring the computer vision-base analysis and interoperating the hand gesture, using Microsoft Kinect sensor a way of tracking user hand and fingers. User can control the presentation without using keyboard for this purpose we have to integrate Kinect Sensor with our system after this it detects the skeleton and start recognizing the predefined gestures. Multiple joint features (hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder) are assessed over different gestures speed (slow, normal, and fast). Standard deviation of instantaneous acceleration of a hand joint is the most important factor of hand gesture recognition. To move slide user swap hand left to right and to move backward swap hand from right to left, to highlight text just point the starting point and move finger forward to the desire end point. Sparing both moderator's and viewer's chance this will be extremely useful for giving presentation, instructing, business gatherings and some other significant fields that oblige presentations. It can likewise be coordinated in the different applications today like in therapeutic application and particularly measuring of hand-related handicap.
