Through the integration of playful architectural elements such as interactive learning zones, gathering spaces, transitional spaces, natural light, tactile materials, and flexible learning spaces, the thesis seeks to create an environment that nurtures curiosity, imagination, and critical thinking skills. the thesis argues that children learn best when actively engaged in the learning process and when provided with opportunities to explore their surroundings through all their senses. There will be multiple literature reviews, case studies, and interviews with educators and documentations of existing schools to understand existing theories, concepts, and practices related to innovative school designs that cater to the psychological and physical requirements of a child’s learning experience. The research also addresses the practical implementation of this new educational approach in primary schools in Gujrat, Pakistan. It highlights the importance of collaboration among architects, educators, and policymakers to create school infrastructures that align with the principles of sensory-based learning and the philosophy of learning through play. By creating an environment that encourages active engagement, creativity, and critical thinking, this alternative SHUA TAHIR | FA18-BAR-009 6 model aims to nurture the cognitive abilities of children, transforming their educational journey into a joyful and enriching experience
