According to the World Health Organisation 1 in 10 medical products circulating in low and middle countries are estimated to be either substandard or falsified, endangering the lives of millions. In Pakistan, especially, fake medicine is a prevailing issue and causes many people to have a distrust of medicine in general and cause various health problems. These products are not approved or tested by any authority and hence are prone to causing more problems rather than fixing the problems. So, the motivation of making the system was to get rid of counterfeit medicine from the market. The project aims to stop all the distributed fake medicine in the market and improve the condition of the country while also making jobs available for people as data entry employees to enter the medicine serial number/barcode and the medicine manufacturer’s name. Since the apps are made from 1 codebase and for different platforms with minimal changing required, the project hopes to make all three platforms in the fastest time The following project aims to provide a way for the user to find out if a medicine product is authentic or if its fake, allowing an easy way to check the authenticity of the medicine thorough entering the serial number of the medicine to the system. What makes this project special is that the system has a minimal learning curve as the main thing is to enter the serial number/ barcode of the medicine product. The project aims to make verifying of medicinal products easy and mainstream so as to avoid counterfeit products and reduce the problems caused by them as a result. The objectives of the project are to get rid of the counterfeit medicine by approving and tracking the authentic medicine products. The user will scan the product barcode and will know instantly where the product is from (distributor location), what the product is, the side effects, the use of the medicine etc. to make the user trust in the product. The side objectives include and are not limited to, more data entry jobs for the people, proper medicine product regulations and management (no overpricing), eradication of fake medicine products and sellers etc. The application also hopes to inform you of the recent corona pandemic statistics and vaccine centres to better help you be informed about recent events, while also informing you about the directions of the vaccine centres.
