Synthesis of rGO/NiO/CS Nano-biocomposite to Fabricate Screen Printed Electrode for the Detection of Neurological disorder
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2025) Muhammad Saalam; CIIT/FA23-RPH-028/LHR; Dr. Akbar Ali; LHR TP 9856
Due to rapidly increasing neurological disorder, the reisa continuous need for the development of rapid and accurate diagnosis methods. An electrochemical biosensor fabrication is involved in this research project which is done by the modification of screen print edelectrode with rGO/NiO/Chitosan nanobiocomposite. This biosensor was used for the detection of Neurological disorder who’s abnormal levelleads to depression that is a major risk factor for neurological disorders. Chitosan based nano composites are widely used in the fabrication of screen-printed aelectrodes thanks to its biocompatible, biodegradeable andnontoxic properties. Graphene Oxide was prepared by modified Hummer’s method, rGO/NiO/CS nanocomposite was prepared by one step hydrothermal method, and rGO/NiO/Chitosan nanobiocomposite was prepared by solution mixing technique. At the end to fabricate a biosensor, SPE was modified with prepared nanobiocomposite by drop casting method. The prepared material was characterized by Raman spectroscopy, FTIR, XRD and SEM. The electrochemical response was checked by cyclic voltammetry spectroscopy.
