Digital Transformation in Business Models, Trends and Strategic Insights
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2025) Muhammad Faizan CIIT/FA23-RBA-028/LHR; Mr. Nayyar Butt; LHR TP 9806
This study offers a thorough examination of the changing digital business environment in relation to the three main business models of manufacturing, retail, and service-based companies. It investigates how modern technologies like block chain, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and the internet of things (IoT) are changing revenue creation, customer interaction, and operational frameworks. The paper uses real-world case studies of Amazon and Tesla to illustrate contemporary trends like omni channel shopping and customer journey mapping and demonstrate their effects. These illustrations show how implementing technology strategically boosts customer satisfaction, fosters innovation, and increases operational efficiency. A thorough Transformational Digital Strategy Plan for Marks & Spencer (M&S) is the project's final product, including a three-year plan to match digital initiatives with important business goals. Gap analysis, technology deployment, change management, and KPI monitoring are all part of the plan. When taken as a whole, this work emphasizes how important digital transformation is to maintaining competitiveness and attaining long- term corporate success in a global market that is changing quickly.
