    In the 1860s, the fast-food industry started from the UK where Fish and Chips fast-food restaurant was opened. Then this trend started getting popular and it expanded in the UK. After the UK, the USA also started the fast-food restaurant White Castle in 1916 and 1921. In the following years, people kept buying the franchises of these brands and fast-food industry kept on growing. In the 1940s carhops started on roller skates. After this, the industry expanded and fast-food chain like McDonalds also started.
