    The Subtle Dilemma: Software Professionals' Psychological Wellbeing in the Context of Micromanagement in Pakistan's IT Industry.

    This study intent to examine the effects of micromanagement behavior, on the psychological well- being of software professionals’ in Pakistan’s rapidly growing IT sector. It also explores what role does emotional intelligence play in this relationship. In addition, examines whether, it assists in mitigating the impacts of micromanagement. This research idea is motivated by the need to analyze and explore how micromanagement affects employee psychological well-being in a dynamic and challenging work environment. The research analyzes the influence on employee health, work satisfaction, self-confidence, motivation levels, learning and growth and burnout. By utilizing a quantative-research methodology, an online survey questionnaire was distributed in different software houses to reach the target of 300 sample employees to gather their perspectives. The findings of this research contribute to existing studies on micromanagement, emotional intelligence and psychological well-being. These findings have implications for managers and organizations in the IT industry as they shed light on the impact of micromanagement on employee well-being and provide insights, into fostering a positive work environment that prioritizes employee’s mental health.
