(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Maleeha Qureshi; FA16-BCS-201; Dr. Atifa Athar; LHR TP 6202
This report describes the project proceedings and the background knowledge of Artificial Intelligence that shall be utilized throughout the making of the project. The project is based on designing an intelligent agent (ISAC) that will assist the students in matters related to student services provided on campus. This agent will carry out time-consuming academic tasks that as it would need to evaluate the cases of all students to specify certain choices. It will be able to facilitate students according to the policy of the institution. The current manual system of registering, adding, dropping, withdrawal of courses is outdated nowadays and it has also put mental stress on students. The current system lacks student counseling and advising rendering it difficult and frustrating for students to perform efficiently in their academics. A lot of helpful assistance can be taken by artificial intelligence. Intelligent agents are designed today to help humans in their daily problems. These agents are efficient as they assist humans in minimizing their workload. Robots (Hanson robotics Sophia, Mayfield robotics Kuri), Chatbots (Tutor, Mitsuku, and Uberbot), virtual agents (Amelia, Siri), and softbots have provided assistance to human in their work.
