CHILDREN’s RETREAT Bridging the gaps between Physical and Digital Spaces
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2022) MUHAMMAD HAZIQ; FA18-BAR-026; Asst. Prof. Usman Sami; LHR TP 8610
The Children's Retreat project is an initiative aimed at providing young children aged between 1 and 12 years with a fun and engaging space for physical activities. The retreat is based in the Lake City School Zone and is designed as an alternative to sitting at home consuming mobile phones, which can negatively impact their socializing skills and health in the long run. Children often lack interest in activities and prefer to stay indoors, leading to laziness and a lack of motivation. With the Children's Retreat project, children will have access to dedicated sleeping areas, physical activity spaces, arcade games, outdoor sports, and VR rooms. This will not only help them develop better socializing and physical skills but also foster their sense of adventure and curiosity. Overall, the Children's Retreat project is a much-needed initiative that has the potential to change the way children spend their time and lead to improved health and social well-being.
