Item Social Intelligence, Moral Disengagement and Rule-breaking in University Male(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2023) Sidra Naz; FA19-BPY-048; Dr. Shameem Fatima; LHR TP 8395The present study focused on the social intelligence, moral disengagement and rule- breaking in university male students. In this correlational study, the sample consisted of 290 university students enrolled in different government and private universities of Lahore doing bachelors in any field, selected through convenient sampling technique, with age range 19 to 25. Self-report measures including the demographic questionnaire, Tromso Social Intelligence Scale (TSIS), Moral Disengagement Scale for Adults (MDS- A) and Rule Breaking Scale (RBS). Correlation analysis demonstrated that social intelligence is negatively correlated with moral disengagement and rule-breaking. Moreover, this study revealed that moral disengagement is positively correlated with rule-breaking behaviour. The current study suggested that developing social intelligence skills are effective in preventing moral disengagement and rule-breaking behaviour. If young adults develop social intelligence skills, they may be better able to navigate social situations without engaging in antisocial behaviour.
