HAVEN FOR DIFFERENTLY ABLED EMPOWERMENT THROUGH
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2020) AMNA SHAHZAD; FA16-BAR-027; Meekal Chugtai; LHR TP 7077
In Lahore, there is social, cultural diversity, in every phase of their lifestyles, most minorities (differently abled) have face obstacle. Many people may forget that a disabled person is first of all person with the desires, heart, talent, a little like everyone else. The definition of person is the similarity we have as human being which often apply to individual of differently abled. The marginalized and incoherence between two groups therefore ultimately leads to a need for an inclusive and open solution which would make the needs of all without interference and obstacle not only in space, but also in inclusive and in mental activity. The aim is to provide empowerment and opportunities by converting the “City of Diversity” into “City of Inclusivity”. For this, recreation is an appealing necessary type of activity which everybody, no matter what category demands. It is thus also taken advantage of by bringing together these two groups and integrating them into by collaborative design practices that often encourage acceptance. The interactions between individuals and the space would be crucial and difficult task in designing better rooms to strengthen social responses.
