(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2020) SHANZA AMIR; FA17-BAF-028; Shahzad Ghafoor; LHR TP 6609
According to the Herzberg, definition of employee motivation is “performing a work-related action because you want to”. Actions of individuals are due to the motivation either internally or externally. Motivation is a process which gives a path and purpose to individual’s behaviors (Kreitner and Kinicki 1995). “It is the most important concept of Psychology”. The term “motivation” was used by some researcher back to the 1880’s. Earlierthan this, the term “will” or “motivated human behaviors” was used by all the philosophers and researchers (Forgas, Williams et al. 2005). Through motivation performance will be enhanced, employees feel happy in the friendly environment and employees perform efficiently and effectively. Motivation can be of different types.
