(Library Information Services, CUI Lahore, 2021) Muhammad Saad; LHR TP 7512; FA17- BCS-004; Dr. Atifa Athar
Humans tend to face several issues concerning their emotions in society. Such issues with dealing with their emotions may stop them from reaching out to a therapist. Psychologists use several methods to resolve emotional conflicts faced by patients with mental issues including cognitive psychotherapy. Cognitive understanding plays a huge role in the betterment of the emotional competence of a patient. Henceforth, there is a requirement of such an agent that may play the role of a helping- hand to the human therapist in this task by aiding them in getting an idea of the emotions of the human patient. Therefore, a combination of different areas of research and development; Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, Game Design, and Game Development is required to model the interaction between a human and an artificial agent through the means of a video game and a textual conversation that represent classified emotions per a proposed model. Such an agent is required to observe the emotions of the player based on the decisions made and then work as a one-way conversational artificial bot to ask certain pre-selected questions that help the bot guess the emotions of the player. Upon the basis of such a sentiment analysis, the model responds by providing media-oriented recommendations to the player
