Task Management System for Desktop Users
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2015-11-20) Syed Kamran Ahmed; CIIT/SP11-BCS-121 /LHR
In this age of information technology the information storage on the computers are growing day by day. This application is designed for the use of a knowledge worker to ease up his task of knowledge management. Knowledge worker is a person who produces some idea and works upon them or he uses the previous ideas and extracts some important information from the data provided to him. The Knowledge workers (professors, engineers, managers etc.) store information on their computers and use the stored information to do their jobs. They need a lot of focus when they are doing their job because if they are distracted from their current tasks irrespective of the reason of distraction, they may lose important part of their work because of mind slips or other distracting factors. Knowledge workers have to spend a lot of time in recovering their task related data and tools from the drive and recalling the things they forgot because of any interruption which leads to low performance and distractions from a normal flow of work. This application will reduce knowledge workers problems. The user will be able to save his precious time which he can utilize in some other task. The application will detect and maintain the activities of the users. The user will be able to see what his activities are and what are the resources attached with the activity. The user interface will provide all the resources on a single screen by which users will be able to recognize what they were doing, where they left their tasks and can continue from that point onwards.
