Antibacterial Effect of Copper Doped NiO Nanoparticles for Wound Healing Application
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2021) ATIA ASLAM; CIIT/FA19-RPH-017/LHR; Dr. Hammad Aziz; LHR TP 7238
Metallic Nps are well known for biological applications as well as antimicrobial activity and wound dressing materials. In the present work, copper doped nickel oxide (Cu-NiO) NPs consists of chitosan-based membranes were prepared by the Freeze gelation method. Hydrogel membranes were prepared using the blending of natural polymers and loading metallic nanoparticles as an antibacterial agent. The different membranes were prepared using the different concentrations of metallic nanoparticles by the freeze-gelation process, during this process Triethyl Orthoformate (TEOF) used as a cross-linker agent. Copper doped Nickel oxide Nps were synthesized by co -precipitation method for antimicrobial activities.Higher concentration of copper doping show larger zone of inhibition against gram positive and gram negative bacteria. FTIR analysis explain the occurrence NiO functional group. Raman spectra also confirms the optical and vibrational phonons and magnons present in NiO.
