Abstract:
used to have a fair amount ofcontact and interaction with patients, so I
am aware oftheir situation. The time they spend in the hospital when
subject to both physical pains and mental stress may be the last in their
life. For such experience, I cast doubt on the design of conventional
medical buildings. To be specific, the mechanical and compact design
pose psychological pressure to patients and their families in the
rehabilitation period, which can cause the recurrence and deterioration of
the illness of patients. I consider the core of design as the connection
between space and its user's feelings. In other words, even if we are
increasing skills and technologies to create a space, we should remember
why we build the space in the first place is of critical importance. On that
basis, this dissertation investigates intentionality versus experience and
aims to answer the question that to what extent architectural design
creates a healing environment in the hospitals to facilitate the recovery of
patients This thesis majorly focuses on ^^How to develop a correlation between
healing and architecture?". Patients are disturbed by spiritual. Physical,
Psychological, and Social Problems, So the project aims to enhance the
quality oflife in the hospital environment.
