Abstract:
This research explores the psychological dimensions of dreaming, investigating the mind's
functionality, memory processes, and emotional aspects. Based on Sigmund Freud's
psychoanalytic approach, this review explores the theories that examine subconscious and
unconscious thoughts. The focus of the study is on the role of dreams in enhancing creativity,
acknowledging the independence of the dream state from the constraints of reality and allowing
for the exploration of new and innovative ideas. While recognizing the potential for dream-inspired
creativity, the study questions the reliability of translating dream content into tangible forms by
visual artists. The review aims to determine the extent to which dreams contribute to the generation
of compelling and innovative material, offering insights into the complex relationship between the
mind, dreaming, and the creative process
