Abstract:
The current study examined the effect of coping on virtues of positive psychology in language learning
among university students, memory deficits, this research also analyze the relationship or association
between coping and virtues of positive psychology in language learning and gender differences of using
coping methods on virtues of positive psychology in language learning. The questionnaire was
completed by 500 participants (University students, Male students: 250, Female students: 250).
Inventory of Positive Psychology in Language Learning (IPPLL) and Coping Scale both tools were used.
The correlational analysis demonstrated that Coping is positively associated with inventory of positive
psychology in language learning, furthermore the use of t-test in analysis shows that female students
are more likely to use coping methods on virtues of positive psychology in language learning then male
students of university. This study is a unique contribution to students and teachers in academic settings
as it will help to understand the how the use of coping methods may help students while confronting
the positive psychology in language learning among students who face difficulties to learn English
language whenever they switch from college to university. This will also help the researchers find the
ways to improve language learning by using positive psychology and coping methods in academic
settings.
