Abstract:
Water is an essential element for the existence of living beings. Without which the survival of life is not worth considering. That is why water is in abundance on the planet Earth. Almost 71% of the Earth's surface consists of water. Out of which only 2.5% is fresh water while the rest is saline. The water found on earth not only includes obvious sources of water but it also possesses less obvious sources. However, the oceans hold nearly about 96.5% of the world's water but are salty. Whereas some of the less obvious sources of water that contribute to the freshwater resources are ice caps, glaciers, underground, in the form of water vapors in air and in aquifers.
