Laminar Flow through Parallel and Uniformly Porous Walls of Different Permeability By Using Power Series Method

Abstract

This work deals with the two dimensional, laminar flow through porous channel with different permeability. The momentum equation reduced to fourth order non-linear ordinary differential equation having a free parameter R2, the Reynolds number. The parametric equation is solved by using a power series method. From this expression the components of velocity, pressure distribution and frictional coefficient are calculated. These expressions are also discussed graphically
