Abstract:
The present research investigated the relationship between creativity, life satisfaction and arts in university students. The objective of the research was to see relationship between three variables among students involved in different categories of arts. The hypotheses were there will be a significant positive relationship between life satisfaction, creativity and arts in university students. There will be a significant difference in students involved in arts and non-artistic students in terms of creativity and life satisfaction. There will be a significant gender difference in terms of creativity, arts and life satisfaction. There will be a significant impact of pertinent demographic variables (age, gender, class, education, profession etc.) on the variables under study. Two scale namely The Satisfaction with Life Scale and second was Kaufman Domains of Creativity Scale. Total of 200 samples was collected. Findings are significant and indicated that creativity, life satisfaction and involvement in arts have strong positive relationship with each other. However, students involved in arts are less satisfied in their life but their creativity in all domains of creative life is higher than those who are not involved in creativity. No gender difference was found in terms of variables under study. The findings of the study were discussed in the light cultural context of Pakistan and existing literature.
