Youth being the active participants, open to a lot of information and interpretation have the power to act and raise their voice against what’s necessary. The life we are leading today is completely dependent on technology which has steered us away from our connection with nature leading to our youth being disengaged from natural environment with a decreased sense to protect or interact with nature. The aim of this study was to determine the current status of youth’s connection to the rythyms of the earth (quantative through surveys) , the impact of disconnection as well as study nature connectedness and its importance from a scientific, mystical, clinical and cosmological point of view (qualitative). The studies proved the importance of this natural connection and how time spent in nature helps us function better as a whole. Furthermore, the research conducted made use of experimental method such as in-field research, derived from personal experience of time spent in nature for visual inspiration. Apart from this, the survey conducted was used to determine the nature connectedness scale in people aged between 20-29 age group. Questions in the survey focused on individuals understanding of their natural surroundings and their experience in nature. While most participants felt they were a part of a much larger systems, further results indicated that only a significant minority of respondents spent more than an hour of their time connecting with natural environment or actively speaking about it. Other than that, many respondents reported they felt disconnected from nature due to their stagnant routines of 9-5. These results supported the necessity for a conversation to spread awareness about the significance of the rythyms of the nature, the rythyms that allows us to flow seamlessly within the system.enHira Nadeemfa17Department of Art and DesignArt and Designnature connectednessrhythmsnatureflora and faunapatternsituation Experiencenatural worldinteractionRythyms of Nature and its significance amongst youth for a sustainable futureThesis
