The sample consisted of 143 women, age varying between 18 and 25 years (M=1.45, SD= 1.1) using purposive sampling technique. It was hypothesized that there will be a relationship b/w meaning in life and optimistic approach of young adult women. Presence of meaning and search for meaning were measured by Meaning in Life Questionnaire Optimism and Pessimism were measured by Life Orientation Test-Revised Questionnaire. Results showed that meaning in life has a positive correlation with optimism of young adult women. In addition to that regression analysis indicates that age has a significant positive correlation with presence of meaning of young adult women. This study is unique that it contributes to the society to understand that emotional state of young adult women in their stage of development and how women perceive their lives meaning and values in achieving their goals and objectives.
