Abstract:
This work deals with the study of unsteady flow of viscoelastic fluid in the annular region
between two oscillating cylinders. Oldroyd-B model is kept under consideration for this purpose.
The fluid is situated between two infinite coaxial circular cylinders. The motion in the fluid is
produced by the longitudinal oscillations of both cylinders. The aim is to determine the exact
solutions of velocity field and shear stress field of the flow. Special cases have been considered
to determine exact solutions of similar flow of Maxwell, second grade and Newtonian fluids.
Results from the previous literature have also been recovered.
