Abstract

The main objective of this project is to develop a Smart Home System which will be smart enough to detect any kind of anomaly in homes. Our model will be trained in such a way that it will perceive abnormal activities and generate spontaneous alerts. This will be done through anomaly detection algorithms in Neural Networks (NN) or Machine Learning (ML). In anomaly detection, our model will isolate anomalous gestures from normal gestures. Moreover, our project includes fall detection, which will be helpful in homes, whenever a patient or elderly person is alone in the room, if he/she falls and needs help, an instant alert will be sent to the user using our application and has control over the cameras and edge device. We will build a mobile app which will be able to send notifications and alerts to users if the system detects any anomaly or detects a patient falling, elderly person, or a child. The privacy of user’s data will be a high priority.
