dc.description.abstract The purpose of the present study was to find out the relationship between K-pop celebrity idolization, parasocial interaction, and psychological well-being in Pakistani youth. It was hypothesized that there would be a positive relationship between kpop celebrity idolization, parasocial interaction, and psychological well-being in Pakistani youth and K-pop celebrity idolization will act as a significant predictor of parasocial interaction and psychological well- being and there will be a gender difference between K-pop celebrity idolization, parasocial interaction, and psychological well-being in Pakistani youth. To conduct the study, sample of research comprised of 202 adolescence and young adult from high school, colleges and universities of Pakistan. The age range of participants were from 15 to 20 years with the nearly equal distribution of males and females. The instruments used for the research were Celebrity Appeal questionnaire (CAQ), The celebrity attitude scale with three subscales (CAS) and psychological well-being scale with six subscales (PWS). Pearson correlation and hierarchical regression were calculated to test the study hypotheses. The results showed that there is a correlation between celebrity idolization and parasocial interaction however there is no correlation between celebrity idealization and physiological well-being. Finding from Pearson correlation analysis indicated that parasocial interaction predict the psychological well-being in Pakistani youth en_US
