dc.description.abstract In the present study, Yasmina Khadra The Attack has been explored as a narrative of defamation of character to analyze the concept of defamation. The study aims to explore how the author has dealt with the conditions of defamation of the characters. The researcher has employed the P.E.A.C.E model of Shawar, Milne& Bull as a theoretical framework for this study. The five stages of the investigation of the model lead us to find out the presumed or innocence of the guilty. The purpose of this research is to explore how Khadra uses the concept of investigational theory to depict the chunks of the novel that highlighted the concept of defamation of character. The study has followed a qualitative approach. The result shows that The Attack is a narrative of defamation of character and the author has highlighted that concept in his novel. The narration of the novel is about the struggle of the presumed guilty that he suffered en_US
