dc.description.abstract ABSTRACT: \ Lahore was a city that we knew to be ofan inclusive environment where social activity would be a more inviting aspect of the whole city, the city was an interconnected organismwhere physical and communicative boundaries were blurred but now the rapid modernization ofLahore has led to the demarcationand segmentation of these attributes. These phenomena are compartmentalized due to this rapid progressionof the city. The public spaceused to be a placewhere informal gatherings used to takeplaceand the audience will indulge in a discussion on varioustopics and sectorswhereknowledge would flowthroughout the whole group ofpeople. Thespatial alignment of these informal spaces caters to theinformal flow of informationand knowledge throughthese sittings. This information used to outflowfroman individual and reach masses similarly create a democratic discourse. Thethesis aims at exploring thisphenomenon of informal spatial configuration andhowthese basic spatial elements have an effect on the behavior of the user, these accumulative settings were the symbol of the society where inventions, gatherings and intellectual discourse took placeit needs to be transformed ontheprinciples of social interaction where the physical environment willplay an important role in creating newstandards of amore inclusive and deliberative environment en_US
