dc.description.abstract With persistent problems of accommodation and housing for expatriates (students and working people) especially in major cities of Pakistan, vertical living can offer new trends and alternative housing options to the youth. In vertical living occupants reside in high rise buildings that significantly contain residential units as well as several spheres of community service. This paper aims to delineate that how by incorporating emotional and spiritual element in the residential buildings can elicit the feelings of mutual welfare and serenity. Moreover, this type of living can not only secure emotional health but also can curb the problems of suburban sprawl and urban encroachment. The targeted community was students and young working couples. en_US
