Abstract:
These days Pakistan is dealing with plenty of issues. Some of them are pollution, energy crisis and economic crisis. Now a day, World is trying hard to put an end to these major issues by using the innovative methods.. Alternate methods for the production of energy was proposed already. Some methods for energy production requires vast land space while the other requires either more time or cause serious damage to our mother nature.
Instead of these methods, plastic fuel from waste plastic can be reformed because Municipal Solid waste (MSW) has ability to produce useful petrochemical products like gasoline and petrol etc. by reducing the pollution and to do that pyrolysis is the most effective technique.
The purpose of this work is to study the effect of catalyst (CeO2 and Alumina) on the synthesis of plastic fuel. For the synthesis of the catalysts, different methods have been proposed earlier i.e. solution combustion, sol gel method etc. After synthesis, active metal will be impregnated to study its effect on the quality and production of fuel. Then fuel will be further reformed.
The catalyst can be analyzed by SEM, TEM, XRD, XRF, Raman Spectroscopy, FTIR and fuel oil produced can be analyzed by GCMS and UV Vis.
