WWF's Awareness Forest

Abstract

There has been an increased emphasis on the sustainable cities all over the world due to the noticeable change in environment. In Pakistan, the process of urbanization is quite fast but the importance of trees and saving the nature is not well recognized. One component of sustainable cities is the inclusion of forests as a part of greater urban eco-system. This paper discusses the importance and need of this component in the city Lahore through architecture and the spaces that promotes the awareness and interaction to participate in making the city sustainable through urban ecology.
