ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINE

Abstract

Using traditional election system to collect votes from citizens is no longer considered efficient due to unreliability. Currently we’re using paper-based voting system in which votes are cast and then it takes few hours or in some cases a day or two to count votes manually and to count millions of votes a huge man power is required. So, the time has arrived to improve the voting system. We are presenting electronic voting system. In this system we are using automated registration procedure which will verify the voter’s identity before allowing them to vote. All details of the voter will be stored in the database which will also include the fingerprints of the voters. Voter will cast his vote using a touch screen. After the end of the deadline the results will be available to general public in 1-2 hours.
