Abstract:
We are living in the era of technology which demands continuous up gradation and improvements in almost every field. Day by day more and more things are being automated and smart machines are replacing human efforts. The need of human in various scenarios is overcome by machines. In Pakistan, the supply chain for milk little dairy agriculturists, normally owning a couple of dairy animals, convey milk to the neighbourhood accumulation point commonly situated at the town itself. From the handling plant the milk is disseminated to stockrooms in various areas inside the city from where it is provided to the milk merchants of the city. The present situation of the milk distribution system must be changed because of the many issues like peoples need to be stand in the queue i.e. very time consuming and makes parking issue near milk dairy. Also for distribution of Milk and collecting the money Human involvement is needed. At present, people need to avoid human involvement, so we are developing smart milk vending system. This also becomes the part of smart city.
Milk is collected from a farm or distributor and placed in a container within the machine. The container can preserve milk for short time until all of it is sold out. An agitator is also operated which helps in stirring of milk to avoid it from settling down. All the operation is automated with a PLC and with the help of cash acceptor which makes the machine as efficient as holding, preserving, agitating and selling it out, and also keeping record, all in one single machine. Milk ATM is run and controlled by a PLC and a communication panel installed for SCADA interfacing.
